"Unsinkable Molly Brown"
What keeps this production afloat are the charismatic lead performances of Dohan & Kinsey. The lanky Kinsey is a charming leading man with a glorious bass voice.
-
Les Spindle, Backstage West

In Susan Dohan & Richard Kinsey, director Jan Duncan has two of the strongest leads imaginable. Kinsey takes center stage everytime he appears.
-Eric Marchese, Orange County Register
"J.C. Superstar"
But the most compelling characters here are the most evil. All the priests, but particularly Caiaphas - the established Richard Kinsey - and Annas - the up and coming Jessie Galvan - are deliciously menacing.

Blind Bartemeus: The Glory of Easter
"Man Of LaMancha"
Leading the effort is Richard Kinsey in the duel role of Spanish poet/playwright Cervantes and the crazed, yet noble Don Quixote De LaMancha. Boasting a powerful singing voice,
Kinsey lends ballast to Quixote's soaring ballads and poetic speeches; he mines this challenging role for every ounce of comic irony and pathos.
- Les Spindle, Backstage West, "Crtics' Pick"

Kinsey, best known to some for his Broadway incarnation of Les Miserables' stern Inspector Javert, thoroughly enjoys playing a likeable madman here. Everytime Kinsey becomes Quixote, he is thoroughly inspired.
-Alessandra Djurklou, Daily Pilot
"RAGTIME"
Richard Kinsey performs a shortsighted but multi-shaded father.
-Les Spindle Backstage West

Kinsey's square jaw and stiff neck reflect father's rigidity, and his baritone, the man's underlying sadness and frustration.
-Eric Marchese, Orange County Register

Father, Richard Kinsey is a strong, imposing figure representing American values.
-Peggy O'Hara, Fullerton News Tribune

PHANTOM!!
But the core of the show-as any production should have-is made up of strong, compelling characters who can project feelings that the audience can identify with. While not so menacing or ethereal as Michael Crawford's Phantom, Richard Kinsey is tremendously affective in a more vulnerable way.
He has a deep commanding voice and while he verges on overplaying the drama. Mr. Kinsey's tormented Phantom elicits great sympathy.
His songs are particular highlights.
-Jonathan P. Turner, The Litchfield County Times

The cast is nothing short of celestial. Strong & Kinsey create a bond between the ill-starred would be lovers that touches every romantic heart string in our hearts. Both sing phenomenally and act with equal aplomb.

"Violet"
Richard Kinsey as Violet's father does a fine job of conveying the torment of a man who because of a second of misjudgement, causes his child years of pain.
-Scott Proudfit, Backstage West
OKLAHOMA!
Chuck Wagner as Curly
Richard as Jud Fry
KISS ME KATE"
Cast in the lead roles are Frances Epsen Devlin, playing both Katherine and Lilli Vanessi (the actress portraying Katherine), and Richard Kinsey, as Petruchio and Fred Graham (the actor starring as Petruchio). The chemistry between the two is truly magical. Both are truly gifted thespians with magnificent voices and tremendous acting skills.
